The Team

The three main chefs have been producing outstanding dishes for our loyal customer base for the last six years and our tandoori chef has been at Hamraz for over 10 years.

Collectively they have over 60 years experience, and served Wigan for the vast majority of their professional catering careers.

Lamb Tikka cooked in special exotic medium sauce, garnished with fried onions and mushroom.

A vegetarian / vegan side dish. Chana Dhall cooked in a lightly spiced sauce and garnished with coriander.

Always come to Hamraz when I want a curry and love that it's my local one. I come back because the quality and taste of the hot ones like jale jule, hamraz special and vindaloo is brilliant and to my liking and the staff are really great; always polite and welcoming and always give you extras to try. My biggest disappointment is that when we move from the area it won't be my local 🙁

Would just like to say we have lived in Winstanley for 22 years and finally found a superb indian on our doorstep we had our first take away from hamraz. tonight it was absolutely delicious the portions was large and the food hot we really enjoyed it so will be definitely returning again and again . Well recommend to all you indian lovers out there.

The BBQ pack was excellent value for money and the meat was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Just had the most delicious meal from these guys, thoroughly enjoyed it as usual., but even more special as been in lockdown for 6 weeks thank you team.

I sat at the bar and had a glass of Rose. I was having a hard time deciding between the steak and quail, but the bartender recommended the quail, because she said it was a very unique dish. I'm 100% happy with my choice, because the quail may have been the best dish I've ever eaten.

Comfortable seating whilst waiting for meal
May I suggest the best value at Hamraz indeed the best value meal in any indian takeaway in my opinion is the Thali special more than enough for two it is also very flexible in that you can choose to change the dishes or rice for chips for a very small charge, the carrier bag is full brilliant food lovely staff well worth trying this takeaway you will not be disappointed regardless of what you choose pay them a visit.

Very polite staff who will do there best to help. The food is tasty and makes you want more and thats from the curries to the kebab.

Consistently high quality. Never had a bad meal. Service is good and the prices are in line with everywhere else, which for me makes it better value. Free taster dishes on the weekends are a good idea.

Tad expensive compared to other local take-outs, but delicious food makes up for it.

The best Indian takeaway in Wigan by far. I've been to a couple of Michelin star Indian restaurants and they weren't a patch on hamraz. I'd definitely recommend the Jale Jule if you like a hot one. East Indian garlic chilli if you like it a little less spicy.

Good Indian takeaway has some different dishes other than the usual you would expect.

Great little place I found whilst driving back down to London. Food was spot on and loads of selection. Really friendly place and Abs (I think that’s what he said his name was) on the counter was very helpful as I didn’t want my food too spicy and he made sure his colleagues prepared it perfect 🙂

I used to go here a few years back when I worked closer, for a chicken tikka kebab. I remember they used to be huge, wrapped in a naan and really tasty.
Well, a few years on, and they are just as good. Really good value, not greasy or soggy, highly recommend.

The food is always so incredible! Couldn’t recommend enough and the price is ace for what you get!! Never a problem! I’m gluten free and I honestly couldn’t recommend Hamraz enough. Indian food is one of the only takeaway foods for sure that I’m confident I can eat and the quality isn’t compromised and Hamraz is not different.

Amazing
Had our first takeaway from Hamraz on Sunday night and we will most definitely be returning! The food was so delicious, they were very accommodating when I explained my daughter has Coeliac and they made sure her dish was gluten free. When collecting they gave us 2 new taster dishes for us to try and they were delicious. It is definitely worth the drive to get it.!!

Go to this Takeaway quite a lot. Great food, lots of choice and not bad on the price given the quality. They always add a little extra in too which is nice.

Fantastic Service, Great Food and brilliant suggestions from the staff on trying new dishes.
These guys are gems, can't believe how they stayed on an extra 15 minutes for me after I was caught in traffic on the M6.

Stunning food - great service
Great food, loads of advice on food allergies on what is and isn't available. Lots of offers and tasters available and the staff really friendly. As the food is cooked to order, it takes a little while but personally prefer that wait as everything is freshly cooked and hot when we arrived home with the takeaway. Loads of choice and some great 'meal deals ' all priced very competitively.

Hidden Away
We all like our Indian take away, and the majority seems to be all the same. However I would like to think that Hamraz, is a little different. It is situated in very small block of shops, in a place would not except to find a place of eatery. Staff very helpful for advice and I've found they are willing to swap things around if you fancy one thing but not the other if you get what I mean. Portions are big so as the saying goes " eyes are bigger then the belly"!!!.

We don’t have a deliver service, it’s pick up only from Winstanley Shopping Centre

The shopping center has parking available all the way around the complex.

Can you create a dish for me?

If you have a particular dish in mind and cannot see it on the menu, please speak to you. As long as you can describe it, we will create it for you.

do you have VEGETARIAN options?

We have a number of vegetarian options available from the menu, from starters to main dishes. However, if there is something specific you would like, let us know.

Do you have food allergy information?

We have an allergy book that can be reviewed, however, we openly handle several allergens throughout our takeaway, therefore we cannot guarantee that any of our foods are allergen free as we use shared equipment and environment to prepare and serve them.

What is the average waiting time ?

Waiting time can vary, but if you need your food for a specific time, please call us on the day and book in advance, we will do our best to have it ready for you to collect at your preferred time.
